Five Fun Facts About the Maze Runner #MazeRunner

THE MAZE RUNNER

Just imagine if you were a kid who woke up in an elevator lift, its pitch black, and you had no memory other than the fact that your name is Thomas. When the doors fly open, Thomas is pulled into a huge glade by a bunch of teenage boys who also have no memory besides what they should be called. They all share a strange vocabulary and mysterious fate from being tossed into a prison-like world colonized by young men where a giant ever-changing maze, could kill you as no one has ever survived the night there in the maze. Inspired by the first book in James Dasher’s thrilling young adult series, The Maze Runner,  and directed by Wes Ball. Lets watch as they attempt to break free from the dangerous maze.

MAZE RUNNER

Last month I got to listen in with cast of the film as they told us what it was like to be on set and create this world that was to become, ‘The Maze Runner.’ So here are 5 fun facts from the cast, that you might not otherwise already know about!

1. The cast created a world without adults. Do they think it runs better, with or without adults now?
The mean the age range of the cast was kind of crazy. The youngest guy on set was Blake Cooper who was playing Chuck; he was 12 years old, considered to be very mature for his age, gave an amazing performance and was quite confident in his abilities. Aml Ameen was the oldest.

They became a real kind of family, very close indeed and kind of looked after each other. There was varying levels of experience in terms of life and acting. They all really looked out for each other. Some adults helped them make this movie, they had a little help in that respect. 😉 But it was an amazing kind of experience.

2. If the cast could choose a movie and take that movie’s ensemble of characters and put them in the maze along with their characters, which movie would it be?

Dylan O’Brien thinks the cast of “E.T.” could help them out. Will Poulter thought the “Stand By Me fellows” would be fun. Kaya Scodelario wanted some girl power in the picture and suggested “Bring It On!” or “The Spice Girls.”

Good-Bye Summertime Disney, Hello Halloween Time Disney!

By Erin

Summertime has come to an end at the happiest place on earth. Yesterday marked the beginning of Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort. Before we say goodbye though, here are some highlights from the summer at Disney.

Disney Summertime  I love watching the horses at Disneyland. They each have such unique personalities. So fun and silly. 🙂

Disney Horse

Such a beautiful view. The castle, the matterhorn and this super adorable horse taking a second to pose for ‘Horsing Around In LA’ and all of his fans while he is working hard at his job.

Disney Summer

Big Thunder Mountain Ranch was all decked out in its patriotic best for the summer holidays. Notice Walt Disney there? Even he had a love for horses! 😉

A First Look at Who’s Who in Disney’s “Big Hero 6”

By Erin

*I attended an early press day for this film as a guest of Disney for purposes of this post. All thoughts and opinions remain my own. All photos and videos are courtesy of Walt Disney Studios.*

There are some new super heroes coming our way this fall. I’m here today to introduce you and give you a first look at who’s who in Disney’s upcoming film Big Hero 6.  You will meet this dynamic group of friends when you go to see the film for yourself starting November 7th, but I have some important background information for you about each of them to make your experience that much more magical and enjoyable. From the creators of Frozen and Wreck it Ralph, Walt Disney Animation Studios is bringing us an action packed comedy adventure filled with heart about a robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, his brilliant brother Tadashi and all of their super smart friends: the adrenaline junkie Go Go Tomago, neatnik Wasabi, Honey Lemon the chemistry whiz and Fred the fanboy. Inspired by the Marvel comics ‘Big Hero 6’ it is directed by Don Hall (Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Willams (Bolt), and produced by Roy Conli (Tangled).

 Fred

Fanboy Fred is one laid back dude. Very eager to join “Big Hero 6” as he has tons of ideas to put into play. A sign-twirling, monster-loving, comic book aficionado, with a ferocious, fire-breathing alter ego who comes complete with claws. You can except much comedy to ensue with this guy.

Honey Lemon

A real chemistry whiz, complete with glasses and funky fashion to match. This girl may be sweet as honey as her name implies, but she also has a lemon in her name and you know how those taste. Honey Lemon also has a fiery side and can do attitude that makes her unstoppable. With a mad scientist like quality, including that crazy twinkle in her eye, honey is sure to entertain us all with her smarts to get the team out of any jam. I’m so glad they included two strong female characters in this film. It truly helps make it a movie for anyone, not just the boys. Also be on the look out for Honey’s purse and what’s on it. It has the periodic table on it and I’d love to have one of my own!
