There’s a First Time For Everything: Guardians of the Galaxy Red Carpet World Premiere

Guardians of the Galaxy World Premiere

By Erin

*I attended as a guest of Disney and am very grateful for the opportunity to do so.*

It  has happened. This past week I attended my first red carpet event. Living in Southern California, not too far away from where all the action takes place in Hollywood, it is pretty commonplace to drive down Hollywood Boulevard and see another World Premiere getting ready to happen. I’m not a starstuck kind of girl, and I don’t get all freaked out and crazy like some do when there is a movie star sighting. Don’t get me wrong, I think they are super exciting, even more so now that I have actually been to one, but I am pretty grounded, so actually going to a red carpet world premiere event for a movie always seemed so far fetched and unattainable to me. Me attending the World Premiere as a guest for any movie, let alone a big production like Guardians of the Galaxy; and not just there in attendance as a fan on the other side of the fence? Yeah right. I must be dreaming. But nope. It actually happened and here’s the evidence! 😉

Horsing Around LA Red Carpet

Marvel fans lined the streets of Hollywood Boulevard on this warm summers evening. The red carpet was rolled out for some of the biggest stars in Hollywood for the World Premiere of the Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy.

It was a lot to take in at once and I wanted to enjoy every second of the experience and catch whatever special moments that I could.

From the makers of global blockbusters; Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers, Marvel is bringing in a new team to town to save the day–the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure that is sure to marvel audiences everywhere. With stars such as Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, and Zoe Saldana it was a no brainer to attend the junket and learn more about all the fun and hard work that went into making this film. Disney and Marvel hosted the press junket for Guardians of the Galaxy. Director James Gunn and actors Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (Groot), Benicio del Toro (The Collector), and Michael Rooker (Yondu), answered our burning questions.

How do I look as one of the Guardians of the Galaxy? Maybe a new character in the sequel? 😉 Before the interview with the cast, this fun photo op was available. I couldn’t resist.

Did you know that this year marks the 30th Anniversary of Camp Snoopy?  Camp Snoopy officially opened on July 1, 1983 on the site of a former parking lot at the corner of Beach Boulevard and La Palma Avenue. Themed to the California High Sierras, the six-acre children’s area was designed by the Knott’s Berry Farm Design and Planning team. To celebrate this special occasion, Darrell Anderson (Grandson of Walter and Cornelia Knott), Craig Schultz(Son of Charles Schultz) and the whole Peanuts Gang were on hand to kick off the Grand Re-Opening festivities! All of Camp Snoopy has had a wonderful make-over and three new rides have been added! Now lets take a peak at what these rides look like! Charlie Brown’s Kite Flyer, The Linus Launcher, and Pig Pen’s Mud Buggies.
