Join us on Friday, September 13th, in the Queen Mary Event Park for an evening filled with spooky delights and thrilling entertainment. Shop till you drop from a curated selection of local spooky vendors offering unique and eerie items. Enjoy live music that will set the perfect eerie atmosphere as you browse and shop. Satisfy your cravings with delicious offerings from a variety of pop-up food vendors. From savory to sweet, there’s something to delight every palate.

Step into the shadows and experience the chilling thrills of Dark Harbor while snapping a photo with characters. As the night falls, settle in for a double feature movie showing under the stars. First up is the beloved classic Nightmare Before Christmas (7PM), followed by the magical and mysterious Labyrinth (9PM). Costumes are encouraged.

Details: This fall, as the fog rolls in on Long Beach, the notoriously haunted Queen Mary brings back the legendary Dark Harbor Halloween event. Dark Harbor is a massive Halloween festival that takes place on The Queen Mary and surrounding harbor.  This year’s event will feature haunted mazes, live entertainment, themed bars and lounges, experiences on-board the ship, festive eats and treats, and, of course, the return of well known icons like the Ringmaster and Scary Mary.

Details: Commodore Everette Hoard will present a reproduction of the Queen’s Royal Standard to be displayed in the Main Hall. The beautiful royal standard is hand painted and sewn directly from Britain. The original royal standard was presented to the ship by the Queen herself before the Queen Mary set sail and it was displayed throughout her years of service. After the reveal of the standard, Alex Mendham and his orchestra will be performing in the Queen Salon for a special ticketed performance. Experience the magic of 1934 as we recreate the ambiance of a grand celebration from that era. The evening will feature the renowned Alex Mendham and his Orchestra, widely celebrated for their spectacular shows. Combining jazz and swing music of the art deco era with a modern energy and passion, they epitomize Hollywood’s golden age.

Details: Join us for a paranormal investigation that will allow you to come along on a 3-hour exploration of the haunts and history of the RMS Queen Mary. The Grey Ghost Project takes a skeptical and evidence-based approach to investigating the paranormal. Using the latest tools of the trade, the project uses a combination of scientific methods to gather data and documentation for evidence of the supernatural. Your ticket grants you access to join one of our resident researchers on their quest to document evidence of the paranormal onboard in some of the most supernaturally active locations, as well as areas restricted to normal day guests and tours. *All participants must be over the age of 13. All minors must be accompanied by a ticketed guardian. Investigations at 10pm and later are ages 18+ only.

Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust.   • New Emotions – With Riley’s imminent puberty, the story of Inside Out 2 always suggested that there would be a party of new emotions complicating Riley’s world—and throwing a wrench into Joy’s hard-won stability. But exactly what those new emotions could be was a big question mark. Casting the new emotions in Riley’s mind was a fun exploration into the shifting mindset of a teenager, and was also informed by some of the discarded scenes and characters from the original film. In this documentary we’ll discuss that process of creating Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui, and Envy—from narrowing them down from a long list of possible emotions, to the design, animation, and voicing of these new, hilarious, and strangely recognizable characters.
  • Unlocking the Vault – In a kind of visual commentary, a group of central creatives watch and discuss the scene “The Vault.” As they stop and start—and refer to various IP versions of the scene—we’ll hear about the inspiration for Riley’s repressed memories like Bloofy and Lance Slashblade, the development of the scene in Story, and the technical challenges of creating 2D characters that exist in the CG world of Riley’s mind.
  • Deleted Scenes
    • Cold Open – In this alternate opening, a now 13-year-old Riley awkwardly fumbles her way through an original song she wrote for a school audition.
    • Broken Joy – After momentarily being unable to drive the console, Joy worries that she might be starting to malfunction.
    • Pool Party – After Riley tries too hard to be fun at an older teen’s party – resulting in utter embarrassment – her “Anxiety” becomes “Self-Loathing” who then ousts our hero emotions from headquarters.
    • Puberty Park – After seeing their faces printed on “wanted posters,” Joy and the others rogue emotions race through a puberty-themed amusement park while being chased by mind worker cops.
    • Shame Spiral – At a lock-in with some cool, older girls, Riley and friends play a game of “Never Have I Ever” that goes a bit too far – wreaking havoc in Riley’s mind.

With every sip, you’ll feel the stress of the day melt away like ice in the sun—because who needs a beach when you’ve got this fruity concoction in hand?

Forget about life’s lemons, it’s all about pineapples and peaches now! 🍑đŸč So, go ahead, garnish that glass with an umbrella and a slice of paradise, and raise a toast to good vibes and great times. Cheers to the perfect escape in a glass—no passport required! ✈

Pineapple Peach Colada

Yield: 2 8 oz Tall Glasses 

Prep Time: 10 min 

Total Time: 10 min 

Ingredients: 

Pina Colada Layer: 

2 oz Malibu Rum 

2 oz Pina Colada Mix  

2 cups of Ice 

Pineapple Layer: 

3 oz  Spiced Rum 

2 oz Pina Colada Mix 

2 oz Pineapple Juice 

2 cups of Ice 

Peach Layer: 

3 oz Peach Vodka 

1 oz Peach Syrup  

2 oz Pina Colada Mix  

2 cups of Ice 

Garnish:

Pineapple wedge 

Sliced Peaches 

Pineapple Stems 

Tools Needed: 

Blender 

Cookie Ice cream scoop 

Tall straw or Skewer 

Instructions: 

Pina Colada Layer: 

In a blender add all of your cocktail ingredients.

Blend on high until smooth.

Pour into a small container or pitcher 

Set to the side

Creating your drink: 

Using a SMALL cookie / ice cream scoop 

Scoop out the Malibu colada mixture and add to the glass. . 

Scoop out the peach mixture and add to the glass. 

Scoop out pineapple mixture and add to the glass. 

Lightly tap the glass on the counter to allow the cocktail mixtures to combine and settle to the bottom. 

Take a tall straw and insert it into the glass and stir to mix . 

Garnish and enjoy!
