Red, Rye, & Blue Berry Toast!
By Erin
Red, Rye, & Blue! Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, here is a fun treat to make for breakfast or as a snack. Very patriotic looking for all the summer holidays coming up. Using berries from Melissa’s Produce make this extra sweet! And don’t forget to take a few moments this weekend to honor our fallen soldiers who paid the ultimate price for our great country!
Ingredients for Red, Rye & Blue Berry Toast
1 cup of your favorite fruit (strawberries, Blueberries, Pomegranates or raspberries from Melissa’s Produce all work well)
1 Tablespoon (or more) of hazelnut chocolate spread. You can never have enough hazelnut chocolate spread! At least in my opinion. Ha 😉
2-3 pieces of sturdy bread (Rye bread works very well)
Icing sugar for décor – optional
Directions
- Toast the bread if desired.
- Spread the hazelnut chocolate spread on bread evenly.
- Place fruit on top of bread. You can get as creative as you want. The more fruit the merrier! Or should I say berrier?
- Enjoy!
