This unique and rare sweet treat, the Pinkglow pineapple by Del Monte is the perfect way to pretend it’s not winter. Melissa’s pairs this crownless* pink-hued majestic wonder with Chocolate Bridge Mix of nuts, caramels, and dried fruit and an award-winning 2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir by Sonoma-Cutrer.
The Pinkglow Pineapple has a delicious and unique taste, with notes of candy pineapple aromatics, which pairs perfectly with this Rosé from Russian River Valley. In the glass, the wine reveals a gorgeous, peony blush color and opens up to aromas of wild strawberry and pink grapefruit. On the palate, you will find the crisp flavor of watermelon, a hint of powdered sugar and just a slight glimmer of hibiscus tea.
Carefully crafted sugar-free milk and dark chocolate almonds and caramels, double dipped macadamias, and milk chocolate cashews balance out this basket of indulgence.

Sweetheart Salad
If you’re wondering of something delicious you can make with your Pinkglow Pineapple to impress your sweetie, then try this Sweetheart Salad! It is a wonderful salad that is full of amazing flavors. Served on a bed of baby arugula, it’s a healthy meal or also makes for a perfect small starter salad!
Ingredients
You can use any combination of these ingredients that you like or add others, but the flavors of these all together is AMAZING if you are able to get them all at your local market!
- 1 quarter of a Pinkglow Pineapple cut into cubes
- 1 Australian Mango
- 1 box Melissa’s Produce Peeled and Steamed Baby Beets– cut into slices
- 1 box Melissa’s Produce Golden Beets–cut into slices
- 1-2 Blood Oranges, segmented
- 1/4 Small Red Onion, sliced thinly
- 5 Tbsp Goat Cheese
- green onion
- 1 Bunch of Baby Arugula, or Spring Greens
- blackberries
- Orange or raspberry Vinaigrette
It’s a salad, so it isn’t rocket science. 😉 Just plate the baby arugula or other greens, then add the beets and other fruits to the greens, then top with the onions and goat cheese and add your favorite kind of vinaigrette or even thousand island dressing to it and it’s ready to enjoy with your sweetheart!
