Stacked: Seasonal Treats for the Holidays!

By Erin

*I was invited as media to come check out the special bread pudding at Stacked for the holidays!*

Stacked has been serving up some special holiday treats this season! One thing in particular: Bread pudding! The classic dessert favorite that transcends generations with its richness and warmth, has made its grand debut this holiday season at STACKED: Food Well Built. With Stacked’s trademark personalized twist, guests can enjoy 22 topping options to customize their bread pudding creation for a limited time.

Stacked’s new bread pudding starts out with freshly baked Challah bread, cream, eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, toasted walnuts and a hint of vanilla.  Guests will be able to STACK their bread pudding with sauces like caramel, chocolate, peanut butter, strawberry and hot fudge.  Other flavorful toppings include bananas, strawberries, Reese’s® peanut butter cups, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, marshmallows, peanuts, toasted almonds, whipped cream and candied bacon. You can also add to your creation with six flavors of ice cream including vanilla, fudge swirl with peanut butter, double fudge brownie, strawberry, mint chocolate chip and coffee.

Here is the creation of bread pudding that we had. With so many toppings it was a little hard to get to the bread pudding part, but when we did, boy was it good!

“Rich and satisfying bread pudding is one of those desserts that warms your soul, and we’ve reinvented traditional bread pudding as only Stacked can – with many, many ways to make it exactly as you’ve dreamed about,” said Paul Motenko, Co-founder, STACKED Restaurants LLC.

Winter Cocktails. Very yummy!

Of course we had to have a little bit of dinner before diving into all the sweet treats, so we started with some warm Spinach and Artichoke dip. The nights have been so cold, so this dip is perfect to help warm you right up! Spinach and artichokes, blended with cheese and garlic, then topped with a tangy tomato relish. Served with crispy tortilla chips.

LEGOLAND! Holiday Snow Days & Winter Nights are Here Through January 3rd! #LegolandCA

LEGOLAND! Holiday Snow Days & Winter Nights

By Penny from On the Go OC!

*We received media tickets to attend the Holiday Snow Days at Legoland*

It was a Snow Day kind of day today! We packed up some jackets and headed south to Legoland in Carlsbad.

We were able to cover Holiday Snow Days for Erin and experience all the fun that LEGOLAND CA is bringing to winter on sunny SoCal!

Holiday-Snow-Days-Legoland

What I love the most about Legoland is that my whole family can enjoy everything from food to rides.

The Holidays bring out all the festivities. Our top 5 faves per my 8 year old:

Snow-Play-Snow-Man-Legoland-Carlsbad

* Snow Play* – The kids loved to play in the snow with their friends. There was plenty of room to celebrate the winter fun with Snow Man building, and he was a huge one! Throwing snow balls at a festive wall was also a lot of fun. They were able to sled as much as they wanted to. There was plenty of room to play for the kids and adults and there was also a snow ball launching area to aim at targets. So much fun for everyone to play with snow in the warm sun!

Heartlake-City-Legoland

* HeartLake City*– Always a favorite to visit. The Holiday show was just amazing. The kids sang along and danced while the Lego Friends came together in a special Winter treat of song and dance and of course friendship!

* Christmas Tree Lighting and Music* – Jenna Elfman did a wonderful job and the live music was magical. The lighting was beautiful and was accompanied with fireworks and snowfall! Everyone really loved the surprises that made the tree lighting so perfect.

Legoland-Christmastree-Lighting-Fireworks

* Fireworks* – This was a pleasant surprise for everyone! The winter night sky was lit up with fireworks to celebrate the Tree lighting ceremony! It was the perfect end to the night!

Lego-Santa

* Santa and Lego Santa* – Did you know that Lego Santa is on the grounds!? He is so cute and just adorable. Make sure you catch him and get a hug!

MACovember at Stacked!

By Erin

Mac ‘n’ Cheese is one of America’s favorite comfort foods, and nobody does it better than Stacked. To help celebrate MACovember, come on in to create your most indulgent or exotic Mac ‘n’ Cheese extravaganza! Don’t miss your chance to take part in MACovember at Stacked: Food Well Built! Although you can Stack your own Mac ’n’ Cheese dish anytime at Stacked, for the month of November they called it MACovember!

Here are a few of our creations on our most recent trip to Stacked! We also STACKED our own salad this time too, to attempt to have something healthier before indulging in all that cheesy goodness (and of course, BACON!!)

*No meal is complete without the famous and oh so yummy Candied Bacon! Paired with a refreshing cider, you can’t go wrong with that!*

Stacked-Salad-Food-Well-Built

In the spirit of stacking our own meal on this trip, we stacked a salad. How’d we do? Steak, avocado, bacon, egg, red peppers, onion strings, olives, corn, and spring greens.

Then it was time to make our choices of what we wanted on our special Mac ‘n’ Cheese creations. We spent quite awhile putting in some serious thought in how we wanted to build our Mac ‘n’ Cheese! Ha!

I wanted lobster, so I went for the Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese and added avocado, bacon, egg, extra cheese, parmesan breadcrumbs, and garlic. Oh man, was it ever good!

MACovember

My friend went with something a bit more spicy. She stacked hers with blackened chicken, Bleu Cheese, roasted garlic, caramelized onions, sundried tomates, jalapenos, and parmesan bread crumbs. Too spicy for my liking, but she loved it!

Of course we had to end our meal with a little dessert. I tried something different this time, that I had not had before here. We topped our meal off with a Mocha Almond Fudge Shake! So good! Coffee, fudge, toasted almonds, topped with whipped cream! It was he perfect pick me up after our meal and just sweet enough to make my sweet tooth happy.

What would you STACK, your mac with? 🙂 I’d love to see your creations you create at STACKED! <3
