I personally love avocado on just about anything! You can enjoy them in the all new Epic Grilled Chicken Avocado Burrito or you can add them to any of your other favorite menu items. Here’s the scoop:

 *Epic Grilled Chicken Avocado Burrito: loaded with six fresh slices of Hass avocado, freshly grilled chicken, handmade pico de gallo, fresca lime rice, salsa casera, and seasoned black beans all wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla. Priced at $5.29.*

Turkey is the perfect way to kick off the New Year. Turkey Tacos are only 150 calories each; which makes for the perfect option when you are in a hurry for lunch or dinner. For Del Taco guests that are wanting to keep their New Year’s resolutions of eating healthier, these make a great better-for-you alternative. I received a gift card to sample the new Turkey Tacos, made with Jennie-O Turkey. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I ended up liking them, as they were filled with bursts of different flavors.

Del Taco has teamed up with JENNIE-O®, a recognized leader in turkey worldwide, and have developed a lean, seasoned ground turkey recipe, using a special blend of spices. The turkey has 33 percent less fat, but still maintains that same craveable flavor fans know and love. The menu highlights Del Taco best-sellers: Turkey Taco (only 150 calories), Turkey Combo Burrito, Turkey CrunchTada Tostada and Deluxe Turkey Taco Salad.

Del Taco’s turkey menu features the following items (price and participation may vary):

  • Turkey Tacos: a crunchy corn or soft flour tortilla layered with lean, seasoned ground turkey, crisp lettuce, and freshly hand-grated cheddar cheese, all topped with hand-made pico de gallo.
  • Turkey Combo Burrito: lean, seasoned ground turkey, with slow-cooked beans made from scratch, freshly hand-grated cheddar cheese, and zesty red sauce, in a warm flour tortilla.

Let’s face it. We don’t always have the time to cook and slave away in the kitchen to make a wholesome, healthy meal. Some fast food places are finally catching onto this and are offering up some healthier options to help us out. This is where Del Taco comes in.  It has become one of my go to places for a quick  yet delicious meal.

Del Taco introduced Turkey Tacos earlier this month, making the company the first Mexican fast food chain to offer ground turkey as a protein option. Del Taco’s Turkey Tacos feature lean, seasoned ground turkey that has 33 percent less fat than its seasoned beef option  and offers the same craveable flavor. I personally liked the Turkey Tacos more than I like their beef tacos.  Each Turkey Taco has only 150 calories.  Del Taco is also offering up a Turkey CrunchTada Tostada, an extension of their popular CrunchTada product line.
