Wordless Wednesday: A Southern California Spring
By: Erin
It’s not quite Thursday yet, so I thought I’d get my Wordless Wednesday post in while I still can! We are having wonderful 70 degree weather here in Southern California. I know everyone else isn’t so lucky. So come enjoy some nice warm California Sunshine and the beginnings of some very beautiful spring blooms from my backyard! Those that are in California, then you know what beautiful weather we’ve been having. I hope you’ve been able to get outdoors and enjoy these beautiful spring days! Enjoy!
Beautiful Flowers! I love taking pictures!! 🙂

such vibrant pretty colors – love the 1st pic how you took it – the background out of focus and the flower totally focused – awesome!
Those are so beautiful! That turtle planer is adorable too. I love spring but my allergies hate all the pollen.

Oh my goodness I am stunned! You have roses already?? We won’t have here until July and then they will last maybe one month at most. Flowers are so fabulous and cheery.

Yep! They usually will slowly start blooming in late March and then continue on through October or so… 😉
Beautiful pictures! We are just coming out of winter…tulips are about 3 inches above the soil.

so jealous! my phlox hasn’t even gone to green yet here in ct!
It’s officially spring everywhere, but you wouldn’t know it by temperatures in other parts of the country. Of course, I’m here too, trying not to gloat, but enjoying it.
Nice pics.

Oh I know! It’s crazy to think that some are still having to deal with snow and ice, in APRIL!! Brrrrr I can’t even imagine having that kind of weather right now. Kudos to all who are putting up with that weather though! I know I’d go stir crazy or something if I still had to stay indoors because it was too cold to be outside for very long!!
Gorgeous pics! I’m super jealous! I live in New England and it is so frigid here right now.
Absolutely gorgeous! I love your vibrant colors, the first flower is my favorite, so bright and pretty! I also like the little turtle in the flower pot, lol, too cute 🙂

Wow, those are stunning! We still have a little snow here, but it is slowly melting. I can’t wait for blooms to start appearing.
So pretty! I love all the colors, you’ve done a great job with your garden. It’s was only 27 degrees her this morning in Cleveland, I’m itching for spring to come so we can dive into our gardens too.

Those roses are beautiful, specially the last one!! We just had a full week of sunshine in Bellingham but we are back to our usual overcast, soggy spring days!! Enjoy the sun for me! 😀

Just gorgeous flowers! And I hope you’ll join me for my weekly WW linky party at http://www.wordlesswednesdaybloggers.blogspot.com. Other people should see your photos too!
Darn! Looks like I missed it… maybe I’ll see if I can catch this weeks one and put it in there then. 😉
Oh, your roses are way ahead of mine. I have lots of buds but lots of aphids to battle right now. What a pretty garden!

Oh, that sounds like my garden a few weeks ago! Usually bugs aren’t a problem, but this year they were BAD!! Just use some soapy water and spray your roses with that. 😉 Do a few rounds of that over the course of a week or two & you should see those bugs disappear pretty fast and turn into something like you see here. 😀
If we had anything that closely resembled those beautiful blooms (and not dirty, wet snow), I’d take pictures too! Thanks for letting me live vicariously through you.

We’re having some warmer weather, but we aren’t quite to the spring beauty you are down there. I just noticed a few leaves beginning to sprout on the lilac out front, the apple tree is still barren, and there are a couple bulbs starting to do their thing! It will be here soon. I really enjoyed your photos.
Love all the pretty pics. I love my flowers, too!!
Such beautiful flowers! I love living in California 🙂

When Spring comes in and I am able to walk outside for exercise, I always take my cell phone along with me, so that I can take pictures of all of the beautiful flowers and spring foliage. Your pictures are wonderful and capture so much of what Spring sings about and promises.
